Description: Price adjusted from $99.99 to $57! This error is somewhat common in post-1982 pennies and in my opinion very rare in in pre-1982 pennies. This is a 1959-D penny which is supposed to consist of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc. The metals should be blended well enough to give the entire coin a copper color. This coin appears copper and zinc on the outer layers. I've been collecting and searching through coins for over 20 years and I would deem this a very rare mint error. Please take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself as I am not a certified coin expert. Free shipping. I'm in the process of starting 2 charities. One will help people out with money and paying bills and the other will help people interested in golf by giving them golf clubs, golf balls and golf equipment. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this item and other items from my store will go towards one or both of these causes. Thank you in advance.
