Description: Exact date uncertain. Previous book seller had “circa 1950” scribbled inside front cover (in pencil) Condition quite good for 150+ years. The Boards were nicely preserved by a Mylar Protective Jacket. Pages have some toning , as you’d expect for a book of this age, but it’s minimal. All the etchings look great. Some pages are loose, but all present. 51 plates (etchings) total. Each one having the accompanying paragraph of related literature. An amazing book for any collector of John leech, or just famous illustrators in general. The only other two copies I could find were listed at $425 and $250. The previous owner (a now deceased book seller) had this valued at $250.
