Description: This is a super rare Napier piece created and designed by the outstanding Eugene Bertolli in the 1960’s and is a stunning work of art. I mean, this is gorgeous! I stopped a customer in my store and asked her to model it so that it can be seen on a live person. Her neck measured 12.5” and I would safely say that 13.5 would work as well but not much above that. Her Royals tank top wouldn’t be my outfit of choice but we do love our team around here and she was quite kind to let me photograph her! The condition is excellent with a little bit of dark coloring on the clasp which can be removed but I never modify my pieces. Some customers think that it gives it character and charm so I leave it up to the buyer to do what they want. You will also notice that it isn’t perfect in the way it lays flat on the counter but it has been on this form for quite a while and has shaped itself to the contours. You can see that it lays as it should on the model so I don’t feel there should be any concern there. The clasp is tight and locks perfectly. The open metal work is intricate, unbelievable and just beautiful. Truly a collector’s piece and if you know your vintage couture jewelry, this will definitely be tempting! If you do a reverse search off of my photos, you find one or two older listings and they have been sold. One was priced at $1600 but I am going to be much more reasonable than that.
