Description: Rare FOSTER BROS. TRADE MARK ARROW LOGO MEAT CLEAVER 10 inch heavy blade This part of much larger estate sale. This has been used to slaughter hogs and beef cows in Dinwiddie, Va. There are no pits or damage to the blade. There is a minor marking on the top portion of the blade as if a hammer had been used to assist the blade's cutting. The blade is shinny as the owner removed the surface rust it accumulated over the years. Handles are in extremely good condition, with only minor discoloration on one side of the handle. This is old as I have memories of it being used in my youth. At least 60 years old. This will come in a box with the cleaver wrapped in plastic bag over wax paper on the blade. The blade is coated with a slight coating of olive oil to prevent oxidation. Thank you for looking and I hope it will be of use again.
