Description: RARE Pre- Prohibition Original Dogs Playing Poker Lithograph Carlisle Rye Whiskey Cash Coolidge. Very rare original lithograph set. These two lithographs were part of the original set of 18 that American artist Cash Coolidge drew depicting dogs playing poker. Literally created the genre. In the early 1900s, Coolidge drew these pictures and then sold them to various companies to be used in advertising. The now defunct Carlisle Rye sent these frames lithographs to bars and taverns to advertise their whiskey. Two original lithographs in the original frame. Lithographs both have slight water damage at the bottom of the print, although it's not too noticable. These prints do not often come up for sale and are a rare piece of Americana.
