I bet that over the next 20+ years, Pokemon would outperform as an investment at least 95% of the stocks on the Dow, S&P or NASDAQ. It did. In 1999, I bought a lot of Pokemon--English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and a few other languages. I bought packs, boxes, starter decks, and even some cases. Most of the English version of Pokemon I bought from Wizards of the Coast. Some years ago, I promised that I would leave my four children at least 90% of the Pokemon I bought. I will keep that promise. In early 2009, I made the same wager. So I started looking for other Pokemon investment opportunities. (Since 2009, I have only invested in two DIFFERENT Pokemon series--the 11-Expansion Series of the Black and White offerings (2010-2013) and one other, more recent series.) Full disclosure. I made a mistake and did not buy any boxes of Dark Explorers, Plasma Storm, Noble Victories or Legendary Treasures--although I did buy more than 100 packs of Legendary Treasures. I should have bought 500 or 1,000. You cannot win them all. Anyway, I am firmly convinced that the Black and White series will be a great investment for the NEXT generation of collectors/investors. That is why my four children will inherit 36 of the 44 boxes. I have sold five of the eight of the booster boxes from the Black and White series. SO I ONLY HAVE THREE BOXES LEFT TO SELL. There are 153 cards in the set, with 149 regulars and four secret rares. That is in case you want to open the box! I would advise against it. Remember, largely due to the greatest recession since the Great Depression, the print run for all of the Black and White series was decreased significantly. Think about the future market. And if you think prices of Pokemon are high now, you are WRONG. The rise in Pokemon values--especially first edition stuff from the early years--is just BEGINNING. My mantra for the past 36 years is this: When you think the prices on something are high, they are really low. And when you think prices are low, they are really high. Every time I have bought a so-called bargain, I have regretted it. ALWAYS. So 30 years ago, I stopped buying "bargains." You should stop buying so called bargains too. The tried and true mantra should always be: Buy high, sell higher, NOT buy low, sell high. Like all my Buy It Now listings, I have priced this box of BOUNDARIES CROSSED to sell. It's $4,588.
