Description: Exceptional set of four antique bone china teacups and saucers with gilt rims and handpainted pastoral tableaux, likely British in origin, all pieces unmarked underneath save for some faint letters and numbers to undersides of saucers ("DD," "F," "3"). Exquisitely detailed, each cup with two different handpainted tableaux and each saucer with three distinct tableaux. Cups measure 2" in height and 3.25" in diameter, while the recessed saucers are 5.25" in diameter. Beautiful and unique set. In very good condition overall - gilt bright and vivid, tableaux with only faint rubbing, saucers without chips or cracks, three saucers with thin hairline cracks, none of them severe.
