Description: These plates are 7.75 inches across. Benjamin Rabier (18641939) was one of the original French comic artists, Inspiring Herg and Edmond-Francois Calvo. You can see some of this influence in the Tintin books. I cannot find exactly when this series was created but in the window of 1900-1920. These plates feature humorous and absurd comments. There are 9 of these plates, The condition is good with one thing to note. The gold plating on the rim has begun to wear in places. I do have a tenth plate which was broken into three pieces and repaired which I will include if you want it as well. Please reach out with any questions and check the photos carefully.
