Description: RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1800s MOCHA PITCHER YELLOW WARE - UNIQUE BLUE AND GREEN SEAWEED DESIGN.This is a classic yellow ware pitcher shape with a pinch nose spout and applied handle. UNIQUE blue & green seaweed pattern on cream band edged with narrow blue and brown bands and 4 narrow mocha bands - clear and distinct design. Golden yellow clay.9 inches tall - 6.5 inch diameter base. Hairline crack at the rim -please see photos. Crazing that is typical of the age of the yellow ware. I inherited a large collection of antiques from a relative who was a serious and scholarly collector for over 5 decades.
