Description: RARE Vietnam Korean camo shirt worn by a US 366 Special Purpose Police Sgt. The photos show Sgt. Ron Roman wearing this shirt in Vietnam with some of his ROKMC friends. Ron was stationed at Da Nang Air Base (1971-2) where he met some South Korean Marine Intelligence troops near his base and was invited along on some missions. They gave him a ROKMC camo uniform to wear with a 366 SPS patch they made for it. The VC were dearly afraid of South Korean soldiers, and he was never bothered while with them. He was once asked if he was CIA while with the Korean Intelligence unit. They had met an NVA officer for local negotiations. You won’t find another like this, a real treasure and memento of the Vietnamese conflict. He is still a neighbor and can sign a statement that this was his personal shirt while there if requested. Unfortunately, he gave the matching pants away years ago.
