Case is plated brass, with the unique 45 degree locking stainless steel caseback and has the tell-tale groove mounted crystal. Case is in good condition considering its age, is unpolished and has few nicks and dings. Case diameter without crown 33.5mm, with crown 36.4mm Dial is white with blue printed numerals, shaded with gold. "Sputnik" text is in gold. Dial is patinad, but fully original, including the subseconds disc. Hands are gold plated with light blue infill The crystal is scratched and needs replacement Crowns originality is unknown, but seems to be period correct, though heavily worn.
