Description: This is a stunning example of a Waterbury Regulator #16 tall case clock. This model was the most expensive clock they produced during the late 19th century. This particular clock was fully restored about 20 years ago with some strengthening to the caseworker. However everything is 100% original down to the antique wavy glass on all 3 sides. The glass mercury vails were replaced with polished brass tube's (assuming the glass broke at some point in its past). Large sized porcelain dial with a seconds sweep hand that sits over a fine quality french pinwheel movement. The clock is currently running strong and has been for about 2 months (though I have not checked its timekeeping ability...I just like the way it looks running) Please note that we sell all of our clocks for decorative purposes, and their functionality is not tested or guaranteed. Although most of our clocks will run with light adjustments, cleaning, and oiling, we cannot assure their operational status. We offer secure shipping within the continental US.
