Description: This is a rare Whiting and Davis Delysia enamel mesh compact purse. It is in good condition for its age (100 years old). The tassels are a little frayed. The brass fitting at the bottom of the purse has come loose in a few places but could easily be repaired. Inside is a duo compact and two mirrors. Paint is chipped or missing on some of the enamel mesh. The original rouge puff and the 100 yr old rouge is still intact. Very little powder in the compact part remains. The metal parts of the compact features a scalloped edge and a unique and elaborate embossed design. The wrist strap is in great shape and the adjusting clasp is in good working order. I think the box is original to the purse, but I am not sure. This is a lovely example of a Roaring Twenties item. Please look at the photos and email me with any questions.
