Description: RARE 1986 CHARVEL MODEL 3 SPECIAL EDITION. MADE IN JAPAN. Original Vintage Faux Leather Gig Bag. In '86 only, Charvel made a very limited number of model 3 and model 4 with factory painted necks. They called these the "Special Edition". It's the only time they produced the painted bolt-on neck. 1986 was also the only year that the model 3 came stock with the Fender-type pick guard. This is truly a very rare Charvel model indeed. This one is in beautiful, barely played condition. Just serviced : deep cleaned, body and neck polished, frets polished, fretboard oiled, electronics cleaned, output jack cleaned, new strings and setup. Ready to go!
