Description: Remington Noiseless Model 7 in grey wrinkle finish made in France using US parts c.1952. This example is in very good cosmetic order and comes in its original hard case also in fine fettle with everything seeming to work as it should but for one problem. There is an issue with it 'skipping' and this seem to happen when the carriage is in its central position, there is a numbered guide on the carriage and its between 49 and 51 on this that it skips, see final 2 pics. According to the web its either dirt that causes this or that the "key is triggering the escapement too late" and requires adjustment. This is something I don't want to try and remedy myself so its being sold on the understanding that it does require some attention. I've been told that a fair price for the machine is around 75 so I've set the price a third lower to account for this fault.
