Description: Beautiful American Bald Eagle Statue made of solid heavy non-metallic metal, possibly brass. Mounted on a 5-1/4" diameter plastic base. I have never taken this off the base to perhaps find out more about it. What it looks like to me is that somebody found a very old Eagle Ornament and expertly restored it to its present state. The large eagle is a two-part casing that includes the front of the bird standing with what looks like a heavy duty wrought iron bolt taken down from the backside that attached both the large wings and back feathers to the front. Definitely Ol Skool. The eagle was then repainted in a bronze color then clear-coated for an amazing laminated shine. It is any guess as to the origin of the eagle. Mostly likely some type of very old decorative ornament or large post finial. The Wingspan on this stunning piece is 12". The lightweight plastic base, despite being plastic, goes exceptionally well with the Eagle. Overall you are looking at a awesome Eagle Decor Piece that weighs close to 3 lbs. That weight is mostly the Eagle. I have never seen another one like it. It will be fine addition to anybody that collects Eagles. A great Patriotic American Piece.
