Description: RMS QUEEN ELIZABETH POSTCARD Port Everglades Florida Transatlantic Ship WWII Luxury British Ocean Liner The first Queen Elizabeth was one of the largest passenger liners ever constructed. This ship was built in the late 1930's and was used as a troopship during World War II, transatlantic service of the Cunard Line and Seawise University. The R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth was in service from 1938 to 1968. This card features the RMS Queen Elizabeth entering Port Everglades, aided by a number of tug boats, for retirement. Then the Queen Elizabeth was sold and suspiciously burned in 1972 during refitting at Hong Kong and was later scrapped. Please view pictures carefully, checking corners, sides, front and back.
