ROBERT VON NEUMAN LITHOGRAPH, "EVENING AT THE WHARF", CLASSIC WORKMAN & TOOLS

Description: Robert Von Neuman was one of Wisconsin's best known artists, a painter, print maker and professor at UW Milwaukee (and taught elsewhere). His best known works include lithographs of this species, rugged muscular workmen of many sorts, loggers, hunters, builders, and in many cases fishermen with boats, nets and equipment. This example is titled "Evening At The Wharf", showing fishermen finally taking a break, beautifully balanced, intriguing with quite a bit of detail, well executed and in great original condition...no foxing, no tears, no fading. It is framed and matted, the width of the frame being approx 19" x 15", the black wood frame in very good condition,, very slight wear noted sparingly. The type of glass included is the old form of a non-reflective surface, in this case not offending the look of the print at all. It is ready to hang. It can be picked up in the greater Milwaukee area.
