Description: Vintage original 9 x 12 in. US double-weight matte photograph from the 1960s Broadway-themed comedy/drama biopic, STAR!, released in 1968 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by Robert Wise, a musical biography of Gertrude Lawrence, who led a hustling and bustling life on the stage. The image depicts a scene inside of a music hall as Gertrude Lawrence (Julie Andrews) performs on stage with her father, Arthur (Bruce Forsyth) and his partner, Rose (Beryl Reid), while they sing "Piccadilly." Printed on a stock similar to a lobby card, it comes from the archive of a newspaper and features a circle in blue grease pencil around the film's title and the handwritten word "movie." It is in very fine- condition as shown. Provenance: The Hearst Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
