Description: This used 500 Romanian leu note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a brown and tan note that is dated between 01 November 1940 and 26 January 1943, bear the signatures of Alexandru Ottulescu, G. Razus, and R. Roman, and measures 156 mm x 83 mm. Its obverse side features two female farmers and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows the Peles Castle. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark with a BNR monogram. The note was withdrawn in 1947.
