Description: Up for sale is a fantastic woodblock from the Russo-Japanese war by Getsuzo. This triptych woodblock focuses on a group of Russian soldiers who appear to be attacking / landing and is titled something along the lines of "Conflict on the banks of the river.". A fantastic and very scarce piece. Overall it measures 14 x 28 excluding frame Including frame they piece is approximately 19 x 33 inches. In general, the piece appears to be in nice condition. Lines from the three segments of the print. Also a crease down the center of the middle piece. Light browning and some wear evident. Otherwise no major issues to print apparent. Print has not been examined outside of frame. Framing was professionally done and is in pretty nice condition. Some dings around the edges and a few marks that may be paint at far front boarder areas. An extremely scarce woodblock. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items.
