Description: This Ruth Gibbs is the larger size doll often called Mrs. March. They were normally sold undressed so a child (or adult) seamstress could learn to dress dolls. The doll is in excellent, original condition, and Ruth Gibbs is embossed in the chestplate. It is hard to see the white on white in the photograph. The dolls also normally had beads made in the porcelain and then colored gold or another shade. This doll is beautifully dressed and original to the 1940s patterns made for the Gibbs dolls. The shoes and stockings are also painted as original. It is a very nice example of a larger Ruth Gibbs and nicely costumed. No damages or repairs. Thanks for looking.
