Description: As the story goes, this is the "tour pressing" of the first Samhain LP. The band needed records before leaving for a tour, so they went to the pressing plant to collect records. The owner hadn't made the records, so they turned on all of the machines and made 1000 records by themselves. They put the records into the jackets and shrinkwrapped them, leaving for tour the next day. Because of the amateur haste, this pressing has some issues: the label has bubbling from not allowing them to cool long enough. As the run went on, the plates were smudged / scratched, resulting in a thumb sized batch of marks on the last track. Side two is also often pock marked, and plays with A LOT of static. This copy sounds great. This copy has the pressing defect, which doesn't affect the audio, but is cool to see. There are a few long marks on the side two, which causes some light audible static during those. Because of it, this copy is a VG. The cover looks great, but has some edge wear and is also a VG. Also included is an original lyric sheet, available for a limited time only in 1984.
