Description: I bought this from an eBay seller last fall, because I wanted something from Schiaparelli from the 1930s that I could use to keep handkerchiefs in my drawer. It turns out from the script form of the logo that this was probably made in the 1950s or 60s. When I received it, I took it to my local dry cleaner because there was a spot on it. She looked at it and said it was silk, but I do not know for sure. The spot came out and it is in very clean condition. The outside is a very pale ivory/green, and the inside is very vibrant pink, what Schiaparelli called "Shocking Pink". The pockets allow you to slip folded handkerchiefs or pocket squares into them for storage or travel. The pocket folds up and ties with two stain ribbons. As you can tell, the ribbon ends are not finished, so a little fringe effect is produced. Item measures approximately 10 1/2" inches in length EXCLUDING the ribbons, and it is approximately 6" wide. This would make a very lovely addition to a collection of vintage accessories, either of Schiaparelli, or this period. Thank you.
