He wrote 44 novels and about 121 short stories, most of which appeared in science fiction magazines during his lifetime. At the time of his early death, Dick's work was generally known to only science fiction readers, and many of his novels and short stories were out of print. To date, a total of 44 novels have been published and translations have appeared in 25 languages. The Library of America has issued three collections of Dick's novels. At least nine films have been adapted from Dick's work, the first being Blade Runner in 1982. This collection consists of some of Dick's early work and resides as digital mp3 files on a properly formated USB flash drive. These works can be played with a Windows or Mac computer, automobiles that have an entertainment system that includes a USB port (see photo) and the portable, battery-powered Luyin Flash Drive Player available from Affordable OTR (see photo).
