Description: This is a Scott Cao 1/4 size violin (model STV-017) dated 1998, with a bow, case, blanket cover, and a Bonmusic adjustable shoulder rest. The violin retails new for $750 - $975 online. The shoulder rest retails for $57.95. This instrument is in great, used condition with no cracks. It does have dings to the front and sides. (See pics for details.) It has a warm tone and is a quality student instrument that was used by our 3 children for Suzuki violin lessons. It sounds best, in our opinion, with Thomastic Dominant strings which it currently has on it; however, the strings are old and should be replaced by the next owner for optimal sound. It is from a smoke-free home.
