'Bronze' is an easy to grow species that does exceedingly well in terrariums. It is low growing, typically spreading and staying low to the substrate. Many customers love this for that lush moss appearance it can provide without the trouble of growing tropical mosses as well as the stunning dark bronze coloration. The color can vary depending on lighting conditions from a dark green/brown to a dark bronze/brown. As opposed to S. kraussiana this species stays much smaller and shorter. This Selaginella species does not tolerate drying out, and prefers to stay moist.
