Description: ABOUT THIS LOT: This sale is for a lot of 10 Peerless Engrav-o-tints "Portraits of Movie Stars" weight machine cards from the late 1940s. Vintage weight machine cards on a heavy card stock; each card measures approximately 1-1/8" X 2-1/8 inches. You'll find a checklist of these on the Movie Card Website American card index under Weight Machine Cards, "Peerless Red/Black Set (1940s)."As that page indicates, these 10 cards seem to be the entire set. The 10 cards, pictured above, show: Perry Como, Tony Martin, Peggy Wood, Lisa Kirk, Dick Powell, Eva Gabor, Faye Emerson, Irene Dunne, Dinah Shore, George Montgomery. Condition: I have several 10-card lot/sets of these, so consider the scans representative. In general, the cards are sharp with no creases, though have light to moderate age toning.
