Description: Heavy-wall, clear-glass conical-bottom open-top centrifuge tubes are used for separations incompatible with plastic tubes. Autoclavable many times. The outer diameter (middle) is 28 mm, the internal diameter is 24 mm, length is 114 mm (all my measurements, so not exact). While the outer dimensions resemble those of many 50 mL centrifuge tubes, the thicker walls (ca. 2 mm) decrease the capacity to 40 mL. A pourout spout increases the width in the top few mm, but it should still fit in many rotors that accept typical 50 mL tubes. (A Beckman JA-20 rotor cavity accommodates a 29 x 108 mm tube, for example.) The catalogue number given is from a more modern version of this product, not the one for sale here, which is decorated differently (e.g., this item lacks the label spot).
