Description: A unique buy! There are seven pieces of antique linen, each one with tone-on-tone embroidery at one end. I believe that these are pieces of what is known as "false bedding". The housewife would fold a bed pillow into one of these pieces in the morning, embroidered area upmost, to adorn the bed with lovely linens that looked fresh, then remove them at night. The sizes vary but are approximately 25" x 45" for the largest one, down to 21" x 40" for the smallest. All seven embroidered patterns are different. Each piece has over 1/2 yard of antique linen in excellent condition - think of the many sewing and craft uses!
