Cajun anchors are a simple and inexpensive way to hold your boat in a shallow water fishing spot. A cajun anchor is a 3/4″ round sharpened metal bar that sticks in the mud. Our unique brackets provide a vertical guide for the poles for easy deployment and retrieval.Standard Features:Guide Pipe: 8″ long x 1″ sch 40 pipe (1.315″ OD/1.05″ ID)Mounting holes: Universal pattern fits all modern outboards – 8.0 inches vertically and 1.5″ laterally.The guide pole is tilted 10 degrees towards the transom so it sits vertically on most raked transoms. The guide pipe outer edge is about 9" left/right and 4" aft from the top motor bolt. We can customize this if you feel like you'll have clearance issues with a ladder or transducer. Just put a note in your order when you checkout.Will this fit XYZ motor? Yes, it will fit all outboard motors made in the last 30 years. The only issue you would have is if your installer skipped a bolt hole when putting the engine on. As long as your using the same bolt hole on top and bottom, it will fit. What is the double barrel? The double barrel is a simple upgrade where we weld a second guide pipe on the bracket with a capped bottom. This allows you to motor around with the anchor in a holstered position without getting mud in your boat. We don't recommend cruising at speed with the anchor in this position. Installation:Simply take the nuts and washers off one side of the engine, slip on the bracket, and retighten to 40 ft-lbs or per your engine manufacturer's spec. Don't overtighten!An anti-seize like Tef-Gel for dissimilar metals will be beneficial for long term corrosion prevention between the stainless/galvanized bolts and aluminum surface.
