A seller for Shellbox advertised a "new version" so I bought both the new and old versions ($50 each online) to compare them. I opened them both up, set them side by side and I could not see a single difference in the packaging, print, box, or item. Only the UPC sticker was different, and I really think that's all that is different. We've been working on an aluminum version of something like this to mount on some specialized equipment, and I wanted to see if there was a new feature out there that I did not know about. There isn't. These are the hard to find highly visible yellow color, an awesome thing to take with you on a vacation or to give as a gift. This is NOT used and it's NOT a return. Bought brand new full retail. Accessories are still in there too. I did open up both and lay them side by side, I did not remove any protective film or take anything apart, and did not put a camera in them or anything. Just compared the housing styles and shapes. There is no way to tell which is which, you're getting one of the two, randomly. New in factory packaging, just the thin anti-scuff plastic cover it ships with was torn to get it out, but that's in there too so it doesn't get scuffed on it's way to you.
