Description: Here is a beautiful collectible copy of Booked To Die the first in the widely popular series of Cliff Janeway novels by John Dunning. This is a first mass paperback edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Avon Books in 1993. This copy has been signed and not inscribed directly on the title page also as shown. This book in this exact edition though not signed was the single most compelling influence that began my ( what I thought ) was my lifelong passion of collecting modern first editions. This copy is truly wonderful. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. The spine does have a single crease from top to bottom and a circular sticker that reads “ signed 1st ed PB” at the bottom. The spine ends have some lighter wear as do the four corners but to a much lesser degree. The last photo provided shows a partial light crease in the lower left corner of the front cover. This copy will make a truly wonderful addition to any book lover and any collector familiar with Dunning’s work. John Dunning has passed too soon and was a rare book seller himself on the then famous Colfax Avenue in downtown Denver, Colorado.
