Illustrated throughout in black and white. Minimal rubbing, else in very good + condition. Emil Seletz (1907–1999), an American neurosurgeon born in Austria-Hungary, made significant contributions to neurosurgery. Notably, he developed the pneumatic drill, or "Seletz drill," enhancing precision and safety in neurosurgical procedures. Seletz also played a role in early space programs, contributing to medical protocols for astronauts and research on space travel's effects on the human body. Despite not being as widely recognized as some medical figures, his impact on neurosurgery and aerospace medicine endures. Marvin Wachman (1925–2007) was an American educator and academic administrator known for his contributions to higher education.
