Description: This is an 8x10 inch inscribed and signed vintage original double weight publicity photograph of Gaston Glass (born Paris France as Gaston-Jacques Glass 1899 – died Santa Monica, California 1965) a French-American actor and film producer. He was married to actress Bo Peep Karlin. He was the father of the composer Philip Glass (born 1934). Was just 18 years old when Sarah Bernhardt selected him to play her leading man in her 1917 farewell tour. He has 113 credits as an actor listed on IMDB, and 41 credits as a unit manager or production manager in films and television. One of his final credits was a February 1966 episode of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964). Signed: "To "Bush", The voice with a smile. God Bless Her! Most sincerely, Gaston Glass. This signed photo came from a collection of photos signed to a Miss Lovilla Bush, often called Bush or Bushy by her actor friends. "There was switchboard operator (at the Algonquin Hotel in NYC), Lovilla Bush, affectionately nicknamed “Bushy,” who reputedly could track down anyone from Gertrude Lawrence to Noel Coward to J. Edgar Hoover. Hotel regulars didn’t even have to feed her phone numbers—she had ways and means to find anyone."(Source: Sandi Durell's "Theatre Pizzazz website, The Algonquin Kid, part II, by Michael Colby) Please Note: I am not an autograph dealer and do not issue COA's. Very nice condition. The borders are just slightly trimmed. There is a blind stamp for the photographer, Melbourne Spurr, in the lower right corner, and an ink stamp credit on the back.
