Description: A Mississippi studio pottery 11 1/2"h vase by Skip Allen of Springwood Pottery, originally located ten miles south of Florence, in operation from 1976 until the late 1990s. Decorated with repeating stylized snakes very reminiscent of Shearwater Pottery - and unlike any other Springwood piece I've run across. In very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Slight crazing at the more heavily glazed area near the base, as made.
