Description: Closeout! 5 x 14 very sturdy and heavy wooden snare by Slingerland. It’s a 10 lug design and the shell is maple on the outside and on the inside it looks like gumwood followed with maple again so my guess is this is a three ply snare drum. I’m told this was originally made in the early 90s. There’s an Evans snare side 300 on the bottom along with the original head on top. The drum arrived with non-original hoops, but they are high quality - I think 2.7 weight. I upgraded the snares to PureSound snares. The Zoomatic throw is original to that Slingerland period and many all of those strainers have had trouble, but with some pressure this one works. There’s probably a trick to make it smoother.
