Description: The wood frame of this early slate is original with no finish, beautifully made with mortise joints held with wood pins, each slate joined together with brass hinges. It is small, each side is 6-1/4" x 8-1/4". Worn and primitive with faint writing from its years use. I wrote on it with chalk marker, and have erased it.
