The front is lustrous and undamaged with a sharp termination and a mass of epidote crystals attached. The front has a striated crystal face that extends the entire length of the specimen. The back is the same but epidote covers most of the quartz. When held to a light the crystal has transparency that allows you to view the many inclusions of epidote. Minor albite is present.
