These innovative dampeners allow drummers to precisely control sustain and damping levels using a dial ranging from 1 to 5, with an "off" position for no damping when necessary. This slick little gadget is ideal for drummers aiming to tighten the sound of their toms - particularly floor toms (IYKYK) - while minimizing bottom head resonance, managing decay, and enhancing punch. These are especially beneficial for recording sessions, where close mics often pick up nasty overtones and 'boing-y-ness'. USAGE: Adjust the slider to select varying degrees of head damping, including completely off. Additionally, a knob is provided to adjust the tension of the leather damper that contacts the drum head.
