Description: This item was donated to and the sale is in aid of my local Hospice Thrift Store, where I volunteer working on electronics. I sell items here for the store that don't readily sell in house, alongside my normal vintage audio business. This is a cassette eraser that works by passing the cassette through the device between powerful magnets, no power needed. Originally these came with a device to push into the cassette hubs before pushing it through the eraser, however it will operate fine without it. I pushed a cassette through a couple of cycles (2x in each direction) and the previous recording was really only recognizable with the volume turned up. This is not as efficient as a high powered electrical tape eraser, but will certainly deal with high level previous recordings so they won't break through quiet passages in whatever you record next.
