This is not a reproduction. The same “Sota Fujii” (seal) and “Mukyoku” (seal) seals that are also stamped on the fan with Fujii's handwriting made by the Japan Shogi Federation are both stamped on this piece of paper. This is not a reproduction. The photos are taken only of the shikishi, so that the characters and the seal on the shikishi can be easily recognized. The frame is included. Explanation In an interview at the time of the Triple Crown, Fujii is said to have chosen these words from his desire to “never be satisfied with the status quo and never forget my original intention to devote myself to the game. The title [Sankan] is a very precious title that was written only during the two-month period between his third Eio championship (September 13, 2021) and his fourth Ryuoh championship (November 13, 2021), when Fujii was 19 years old. Apart from my own subjective judgment, I brought the shikishi to a restoration workshop for paintings and antiques with which I have business, and asked a professional expert to appraise (judge) the handwriting, and confirmed the ink and red ink on the shikishi with a high-sensitivity microscope (see the attached image). The fibers of the shikishi were examined to determine whether or not they had become fluffed due to moisture from the ink or friction with the brush when the writing was done directly on the paper, and whether or not the pigment from the ink or red ink had seeped into the fibers. Background and provenance of the shikishi The “Iroshi” (original Japanese calligraphy paper) was written on October 09, 2021, at the Cerulean Tower Noh Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo, during the first game of the 34th Ryuoh Tournament, in which Sota Fujii (then holder of the triple crown of Kisei, Ozaime, and Eio) challenged Masayuki Toshima (then holder of the triple crown of Kisei, Ozaime, and Eio), (1) Those who won the “lottery” to enter the commentary session, and (2) From among the visitors who correctly answered the Next Move question, (3) The grand prize (special prize) was an “Iroshi (colored paper)” written by “Fujii Sankan,” and prizes (posters, fans, etc.) were given away by drawing lots.
