Description: Fabulous vintage postcard, circa 1910-1920, with adorable image of St. Bernard and little girl called "Trust". "Trust" was originally painted by Charles Barber (1845-1894) in 1888. He was regarded as one of Britain's finest animal painters. This image has been reproduced many times. In this case, it looks like the color of the little girl's dress was modified (its cream in the original) and additional detail was added to the illustration. This is an uncommon card - I have not been able to find example of this postcard on any of my sourcing sites. Maker/Artist: Not Marked (but based on an original painting by Charles Barber) Condition: Posted. Very Good condition for age (est. 1910-1920). Does show some ware around corners and edges (see photos). Shipping: This card will be shipped in first class mail in a ridged card mailer and in a protective plastic sleeve.
