These are all professionally processed in a vacuum chamber at my shop. I am a knife maker and I use these for my own creations with great results. Some may have small insect holes that can easily be filled with super glue. I think they only add to the character and uniqueness of each piece. There is no varnish or coating on them but they are sanded and buffed to reveal what the finished product will look like.
