Which sounds really familiar. Like, maybe the sequel trilogy could really have dodged a lot of the problems it had with Rey and her skills and backstory and connections if they had just let her be the character she was pretty clearly modeled after. You don't really blink when a Skywalker is a powerful force user or a leader or when a Solo is a crack pilot or a skilled engineer, nature or nurture, it's just a shorthand. I guess they didn't want another sibling romance with Kylo, but it did kind of feel like all of the characters seemed to treat Rey like Jaina in some ways even if the script said otherwise. But here's the figure (who doesn't even look that far off from an alternate Rey) that may help with your head canon if you had issues with the Disney Trilogy. Happy bidding!
