Steam at Allandale was the first book in that group. Allandale was a division point for the Canadian National Railways at the western end of Lake Simcoe (Kempenfelt Bay). This division covered some 672 miles of CN tracks in southern Ontario. A beautiful depot with offices, a 27-stall roundhouse, and terminal facilities anchored the location. The Allandale Division ranged to Hamilton, Toronto, Meaford, Penetang, and as far north as North Bay on Lake Nipissing. In this 192-page book you will find late steam through early diesels and self-propelled cars; mainline to branchline freight; named passenger trains to mixed consists. Maps are dispersed throughout not only showing the line, but all sidings and trackside industries. This is a 9.25" x 12" hardcover printed on gloss paper with a separate high-gloss dust jacket.
