Description: Travel back in time with this Stradivarius copy violin. Made in West Germany, so it's roughly from 1949-1989. With a 13-1/2'' body and a 22-1/2'' scale length, it is a 7/8 size violin. The inside label reads "Copy of Antonius Stradivarius Faciebat Cremona 1713, Made in West Germany." Spruce top. One fine tuner. One-piece maple back. Maple sides. Maple neck. Ebony nut, fingerboard, and tailpiece. Cosmetically, it looks okay. There are scratches and scrapes on the top and back, particularly around the bridge and tailpiece, and some nicks and scrapes on the sides. No cracks. Functionally, it plays. The pegs and peg holes are in pretty good round. The fingerboard is in good, working condition. It comes with an old bow. The bow is not haired. One of the pearls on the frog is partially missing. It comes in a hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges all work. Who needs a good, but affordable, 7/8 fiddle? Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 32"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
