Description: Hello, This piece was made by the Yamaaki kiln. A kiln that’s been cold since about 2010. It’s always nice to get things that can be made again by the same maker. -all items in my store may contain some degree of wobble. If there are any small issues like chips, I’ll point them out in the pictures. Since these are suibans, they often have inferior glaze scratching since they once housed a stone. Comes with the territory. I do the best I can to show any scratches in the photos. Please see them all and ask questions if you have any before buying. Anything note worthy I’ll mention below. -so this is a really interesting piece that I couldn’t, nor my other pottery head friends around the world cannot identify as either 1st or 2nd gen yamaaki. It’s one of the two for sure. The bottom stamp is Kinka, which is the founders stand that he used before he formed yamaaki kiln. The top stamp I have no idea who it is, so maybe a collaboration with another potter. The clay body reminds me of 2nd gen. The color and texture screams second gen, but he seemed to always mark his work in some way. Unless that unknown stamp was one of his he didn’t use much. Either way, it’s a beautiful old rare handmade piece. Sizes in Inches 10 7/8 Width 6 deep 1 Tall Stand(s) not included. Please see my other new additions in my store I will be putting new (old) pots up as time allows me to. thank you. Matthew Ouwinga kaedebonsai.com
