SUPER RARE 1996 FLEER USA BASKETBALL FACTORY SEALED HOBBY BOX 3D CARDS! READ!

Description: HI! PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! (It will take you less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.) First things first. NO DISCOUNT. Ever. I do not offer discounts on any of my Buy It Now listings for the past 24 years. ALL MY PRICES ARE FAIR. Because they have to be. This is NOT my hobby. THIS IS HOW I TRY TO EARN A LIVING FOR THE PAST 28 YEARS, INCLUDING THE LAST 24 YEARS ON EBAY. That means I have to sell my items in a timely manner. Otherwise, my wife will say something like this: "Hey, Jerry, when are you going to make a deposit at the bank?" Fortunately that has not happened often in the past 28 years. This is a Buy It Now listing for a factory sealed HOBBY box of the 1996 Fleer USA Basketball, which features the NBA stars who won the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal in basketball. In early 1997, I happened to be in a store that was one of the largest distributors of sports cards in New England. At the same time, a Fleer representative was in the place talking with the owner. As I passed by, I happened to mention that I was a regular customer there and that I had bought a lot of 1996 Fleer USA Basketball boxes. In fact, I had bought 20 CASES of the product. The Fleer representative said, " Really. That is one of the rarest products we ever made." One of the reasons--actually the only reason I suspect--was that Michael Jordan was not in the set since he had said in 1994 that he was not planning to be on the Olympic basketball team in 1996. And he wasn't. I firmly believe that if Jordan was in this set, boxes today would be going for more than $4,000 a box--at least! That would be true even if they had quadrupled the production run! For more than 25 years, I had never sold any of these boxes on eBay. Until 2022. Since then, I have sold more than 20 boxes of this on eBay. In fact, I plan to leave each of my four children at least four sealed cases of the 1996 Fleer Basketball wax boxes. (There are 18 boxes in a case.) There are 52 cards in the set. The only insert is a Heroes set--one every 18 packs. In each pack, there is a 3D card, along with four other cards. If you look at eBay or any other site, you will rarely see this box. THAT IS BECAUSE IT IS WICKED HARD TO FIND. AND BECAUSE FLEER MADE SO LITTLE OF IT, KNOWING THEY COULD NOT PUT MICHAEL JORDAN IN THE SET.) Anyway, I digress. Loaded with Hall of Famers like Shaq, Stockton, Malone, Pippen, Miller, and the rest of the gold medal winners of the 1996 Olympics. Over the next year or two, I plan to sell only about 30 boxes on eBay. The rest will be inherited by my four kids. As someone once said about real estate, "they ain't making any more of these."
