SWEET OLD SANTA CLARA SAN ILDEFONSO NATIVE AMERICAN BLACK POTTERY WEDDING VASE

Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Wedding Vase from a longtime collector of Southwest & Native American Pottery Art & Jewelry out of Los Alamos. This woman's husband worked at the labs and was part of the group that worked on the Atomic Bomb. He was busy, so she collected what she liked. It was a really nice collection of items that I was fortunate enough to buy a small portion of. This lot is for a SWEET OLD SANTA CLARA SAN ILDEFONSO NATIVE AMERICAN BLACK POTTERY WEDDING VASE. The Vase is in undamaged condition as described above. It has a beautiful decoration on 4 sides, Black on Black polished finish. Its like a feather decoration headdress or a Sunrise, interesting either way! It stands about 5.25" high and is 4 5/8" across the spouts x 2 7/8" in diam. It is unsigned on the bottom thoough it looks like the remnants of writing on the bottom... hard to say so no way to know where it came from or who made it. This woman bought a lot of Pottery and most from Santa Clara and San Ildefonso pueblos with some other Southwest pottery mixed in.
